Hello:
We are traveling to Rome May27-June2 and wondering is anyone would recomend the Roma Pass? Also can someone recommend a few good wine & olive oil tours in any of the following: Rome or by Florence, Lucca Cinque Terre and if aware of any in Sicily. Thank you so much.
Vega, as you now have to make a timed-entry reservation for the Colosseum if using the Roma Pass, I personally think the thing has lost a significant piece of its previous convenience value. You also have to make a timed-entry reservation for (excellent!) Galleria Borghese but that's been standard procedure with the pass for years so nothing new there.
If not already aware, the Roma Pass doesn't include anything at the Vatican.
Rome is really a relatively compact city that's more interesting to walk than ride so we wouldn't have used the transport piece of that pass enough to make it worthwhile.
Up to you, really, but if it were me, I'd just buy timed-entry tickets directly from the Colosseum website (https://www.coopculture.it/en/) and the Borghese (https://www.tosc.it/tickets.html) if intending to do that one. Other attractions covered or discounted under the pass are unlikely to have long entry queues. For the few times you might want to take a bus or hop the metro, buy-ride individual BIT tickets from newsstands, tobacco shops and metro stations. I day and multi-day transport passes are also available.

Thank you Kathy .I was under the impression that’ it did include Skip the lines portion and I believe the pass as an upgrade to Roma pass Omni that does include the Vatican Thank you.
Jane, the Omnia pass is considered by many (including myself) as extremely overpriced and not a good buy at all. In fact, I don't believe I've ever seen it recommended for purchase on any travel forum I belong to.
The requirement for advance timed-entry reservations for the Colosseum with the Roma Pass went into effect on March 1st. See 7.1 under the FAQ section of the Roma Pass website for reservation requirements:

Also be cautious of "skip the line" promises. While you can skip ticket lines with advance tickets or passes, no one skips security checkpoint queues at attractions which have them.
