I plan on purchasing the Roma Pass for my girlfriend and I. It sounds like people most often visit the Colosseum and the Borghese Gallery when using the 2 free passes. We also would like to take a guided tour of the Colosseum. My question is do tours also include the ticket prices in their pricing? Meaning if we sign up for a tour are the tickets included and would we be better off using one of the free sites included in the Roma Pass somewhere other than the Colosseum? I guess I'm just a little confused.
Yes, it can be very confusing... In most cases, the answer to your questions is YES, the tour WILL include the entry fee... but it DOES depend on the tour company... I know that probably DOES NOT answer your question, but you'll have to check with the specific company you intend to book with to see if the entry price is included. There are still plenty of places (other than the Colosseo Combo) where you can use the Roma Pass if you're here for three days.

We took a tour of the Colosseum with Context tours, and they made it clear when we reserved that the cost of the ticket was not included in the tour price. We were able to use our Roma pass then when we went in with our guide.
Ok thanks for the help. I'll probably buy the Roma Pass and then use a tour company for the Colosseum that require a separate purchase of tickets for that tour.
