Roma Pass and Firenze

Has anyone recently bought/used the Roma Pass from http://www.romapass.it? Per the site, it is 20E per person and includes entrance at 2 museums as well public transportation. It is good for 3 days, and provides discounts at additional museums. I want to use it at the Colosseum and be sure that we can skip the line. Also looking for a good B and B in Florence for one night. Thanks!

It costs 30 euros per person. It is good for free entry to the first two sites covered by the pass and you get the discounted rate at all other sites covered by the pass. You also get discounts on tours and special events. You can bypass the lines at the colosseum and the combo sites included in the pass only count as one entry. The pass is good until midnight of the third day-NOT three 24 hour periods so if you use it at 7pm on Monday it will expire at midnight on Wednesday. You also get to use the metro, buses and trams for the entire 3 days. http://www.romapass.it/p.aspx?l=en&tid=2 Donna

The cost is now 30€/pass. Unless you are planning to use lots of public transportation, it isn't worth it any more IMO. You can buy your Colosseum ticket at the Forum or Palantine Hill and then by-pass the line at the Colosseum.

Thank you Donna and Dina. I agree, we'll just get the tickets at the Forum as won't need the transportation. Grazie! Judy
