Roma Pass and Colosseum Tickets

Question regarding the Roma Pass and Colosseum tickets ~ I know Colosseum tickets are extremely difficult to get via the coopculture culture site as they sell out quickly even trying 30 days in advance. The guide book suggests getting a Roma Pass once one is in Rome and then reserving a time to enter the Colosseum. We arrive in Rome on 10/16 and want to visit the Colosseum 10/17. Will there even be tickets/time slots available at that late date?

Why not keep an eye on the coopculture website - the page for Roma Pass purchases and/or reservations - and book your preferred day/time as soon as they become available?

I just looked at the page and there are open time slots for pass ohlers through the end of July....although they look to be selling quickly. Anyway, you don't have to purchase your pass through the website, although that is an option. Otherwise, choose the "RESERVATION OF ADMISSION FOR ROMA PASS HOLDERS" option, if planning to purchase your pass when you get to Rome. You do not have to have it in hand to make the reservation; you do need to have it in hand when you arrive at the entrance.

Understand that your free entry only applies to the FIRST attraction you visit, if using a the 48-hour pass (hmm, I don't see that pass as a pre-purchase selection under "Buy", only the 72-hour.) Your first two are free if using the 72-hour.

Option #2: they now have an onsite ticket office for purchasing day-of entry tickets. Get in line early, before it opens, and be ready to jump if the time slot they give you is pretty much immediate. As far as I'm aware, you can't, say, purchase them one day for entry the next day. If not all that interested in much else a Roma Pass covers, it likely won't be worth the purchase of the pass.
