Roma Pass and Borghese Musuem

A little confused here... can you guys help.

As I understand that Roma Pass allows free admission to the first 2 sites.
I plan on visiting the Colosseum and national museum as for my 2 sites on my first day in Rome and Borghese Museum for my 3rd site for maybe on 2nd or 3rd day

Question: In this case do I still need to book tickets for Borghese Musuem ? or is reservation + Roma Pass should be sufficient enough

As Indrani states, you must HAVE a reservsation at the Galleria Borghese. In the order you suggest, you will get a discount at the Borghese using your Roma Pass. This posting may help you with the Borghese, as it contains info on the NEW call-back feature: CLICK HERE for Borghese Info

This post may help explain the Roma Pass a little better: CLICK HERE

I'll be going in a couple weeks. I made reservations for the Borghese Museum -- but they didn't require payment in advance. So I highly recommend you get ressies for Borghese, so you'll know what time slot you've got. Then, you take your Roma Pass or money to them about 30 minutes before your assigned museum time. Ciao!

For Borghese, reservation is required. You fill out the time slot that you will be there. Arrive 30-minutes before, just say your name. Once they ask you to pay show your Roma Pass...

The pass was the best thing,it has a seperate pass for unlimited bus, and subway ride during the 3 day period.

Buy it from the National museum, you will have no line.
In the Colosseum, you will see a long line, take out your pass out and keep to your left , you will enter in no time.
Have a wonderful trip.

I highly recommend the Roma Pass. You can get it at the main train station (tourism office) or airport. It basically gets you into two museums for free, other museums at a discount, and all buses and metros. It's the cost of two museum entrances but you get the ease of being able to hop on and off a bus or metro anytime even for just one stop. Keep in mind the metro part of the card and the museum part are completely separate systems and each have their own "clock" thats starts at first use. Plus they give you a good map of Rome and a book that tells you about each museum, their hours, cost, and major sights. The best part is you could call the customer service number and ask anything like "I'm trying to go from here to there - what's the best way to get there?" and they'll tell you exactly what bus/metro to take and saves you time and money of cabs when the public transportation is easy if they tell you what to take. Check out www.romapass.it.

If you want to go to the Borghese Museum (which is worth it) call 0039 06 8413979 and make an appointment letting them know you'll be using the Roma Pass. We used our Roma Pass for the Coliseum and Borghese. Use it for your first two most expensive museums so you can get the discounts on the ones after and get the most out of your Roma Pass. If you don’t use the Roma Pass for the Borghese you can buy and reserve tickets online: http://www.galleriaborghese.it/borghese/en/einfo.htm.
