Is the Roma Pass worth it? we will be in rome two days. visiting vatican museum, palitine hill, borghesee gallery. we will be staying by the vatican. can you use the pass on the bus and metro (subway) are kids under 9 free?
Now that the Roma Pass is €30, it's not the deal it used to be. It's also NOT good at the Vatican as that's another country. It is good on all the metro and bus routes inside the 2-ring zone surrounding Rome (which probably covers everything you want to see except Villa Adriana or Tivoli). Children under 10 years of age are free on those buses and metro. If you're going to use the transportation option A LOT, it could be worth it... but you'd have to be very organized in your 3-day period to get your money's worth.
