I purchased a Roma pass.My brother has been to Rome and he told me you purchase a ticket with a time on it and they only let you at that time. How do I skip the line with my pass and get it at the time I want to get in not 3 or 4 hours later.For example I want to go the Palatine hill at 5pm. If I show up with the pass at 5 will they let me in then and skip the line.

It think your brother mixed up the Roma Pass with his recent trip to Dineyland. When you go to a site, for example, the Colosseum, there will be two lines. You will see a line for Roma Pass. Just get in line, they won't ask you to come back later. Make sure you write you name on the back of the card.
