Roma Pass

I love the idea of the Roma Pass, is there a way to prepurchase one online before I travel?

If you order them online you must specify where you intend to pick them up. this can be a problem. Just buy one when you get there. Any site that honors the pass will sell it. For a complete list of other places that sell the pass check out the website. Depending on where your hotel is there may be a museum close by that honors the pass that you can stop into just to buy the pass. This could save you a lot of time over looking for a Tourist information booth.

We were going to buy one when we checked in at our hotel. I asked the person at the desk where we could get one and she had some behind the desk.

We bought ours at one of the National Museums when we went there to go through it.

It was a huge savings when we went to the Coluseum as the line for tickets was huge. Ours on the other hand for the Roma Pass had nobody in it. We walked right in.

That in and of itself made it worthwhile.

We bought our at the subway near the Colosseum. Took about ten minutes tops for the 3 of us. Then wa walked to the Colosseum and got right in and then went to the Roman Forum. (Both places count as one entry)

I bought ours at the Termini info office (follow Rick's instruction to find it) or if you use the light rail into Rome, when you get off walk straight thru towards the front of the station and you will walk right by it on the left.

You can buy the Roma Pass at PIT's (Tourist Information Booths), many newstands, small kiosks like the one near Piazza Republica, and even in some Tabacchi shops. So, as suggested, I would not pre-purchase. The Tourist Info Booth in Termini is located just south of Track 24, adjacent to the car rental booths... look for those and you'll see the counter. The palatine entrance is where we bought ours. The first time we bought them, we bought and first used them late in the afternoon. This was a mistake as we lost most of that first day. On the next trip and we bought them and used them in the morning and got the maximum use. To really get a lot of value out of these cards, you need to plan two days of intense museum visits.
