Roma pass???

Should we get the Roma pass when we're in Rome?

It depends on the sites you wish to see. If you'll see at least 3 sites covered by the pass or if you'll visit 2 sites covered by the pass but use public transport often then it should save you time and money. If you won't do either then it will cost more than you would normally spend. You can visit the website to see which sites and tours are covered by the pass. If you use it wisely it really can save you a lot of money. There is no benefit of buying the pass online so if you decide to get one just pick it up when you get to Rome. Donna

Thanks! We get there on Sunday morning. Where do we purchase them, and do you think we can get them on Sunday?

We purchased ours at a magazine/newspaper/ticket booth outside the Coliseum...but I would think there'd be a list on the romapass website...

There is an official list on the romapass website. You can also pick them up at many magazine stands. You might just want to get it at the TI at the airport. Donna

Roma Pass was a reat investment for us, and had just 2 days to use it. to really bypass lines at the colosseum, sign up for a tour outside the gate. You'll walk past about 10,000 people waiting in line just to get in after they bought their tickets. Have fun. Jan

The line on the left at the colosseum is for romapass holders and allows you to bypass the line. The line is for people waiting to buy tickets. IF you have the romapass you don't wait in that line but go in through the left line to the romapass counter. You don't need to book a tour to bypass the lines unless you really wish to take a tour. We bought our Roma pass in the airport on the way to catch the train into Rome. Very convenient and easy. It is definately worth getting.
