What is the closest canal boat stop to arrive at Casa di Sara in Venice,Italy? My wife can not walk a far distance.
Thanks

I am guessing Casa di Sara is your hotel or BnB, and if this is the case, they should be the ones you ask.

From the web sites, it looks like the closest vaporetto stop is Accademia. Then a 10-minute walk at normal speed, with your bags. Pace yourselves, at least you will not have to cross the Accademia Bridge to get to the B & B. Sounds like a nice quiet place and location. Hope you enjoy it! By the way, why is the subject line of your question "Robert"? That probably will not generate too much interest. Maybe "need directions in Venice" or something like that would generate more responses, although for this question you only need one correct answer, not a lot of differing opinions. Often the B & B can provide step-by-step directions for the vaporetto and walk,

Are you locked into that place? I ask because given your mobility issues, you might prefer someplace closer to the vaporetto lines. How far can your wife walk? (And you might want to change the name of this topic from "Robert" to "Venice lodging" or something.)

I stayed there in 2009. The closest dock is Zattere. But as others have indicated, you then have a 10 minute walk, and potentially an even bigger problem for your wife is that you MUST go over a few bridges (not flat, but with steps up and down) to get there from the vaporetto dock. The upside of it's "isolated" location is that it's in a very quiet part of Venice with few tourists - it's very restful to wake up and go to sleep there.

So I agree with Michael that you should try to find another place. And look on Google Maps to see the exact location of any place you are considering, to make sure it's not too far from a vaporetto stop.
