I am wondering if anyone has up to date information regarding the status of the roads post-flooding between these cities. I’m trying to fit in a day in Ravenna (driving from Florence that morning) and getting to Venice by around 8:00 pm. If there is any instability in the road situation, taking the train might be safer. I have to be in Venice at a reasonable time
When are you talking about? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month?
The flood was over a month ago. The water has all evaporated away and everything is back to normal.
All freeways are open, although the train is just as fast, actually faster.
I’m going to be in Ravenna in 2 weeks. I’d actually prefer the train and deciding how late I can leave Ravenna. The implication is that all the rails are fine too. Anyone have any experience with the shop next to the station where he says you can store luggage? I’ll be there a Sunday unfortunately

Since you are visiting the area 6 weeks after the flooding, you can bet they fixed the rails.
Anyway, the best way to be 100% sure is entering your actual day of travel on trenitalia.com/en.html and click search.
What you see online is what you can get on at the station, quite obviously they wouldn't display outdated schedules or trains not actually running.
with the shop next to the station where he says you can store luggage
Don't you know the shop's name?
