I am planning a trip to Tuscany and wanted to run in a local race. The distance could be anywhere from 5K to 1/2 marathon. I have run marathons in Italy in the past and large marathons were easy to find on the internet. However I am having difficulty finding small races in towns or villages using usual search engines. If anyone has contacts and knows of directories of Tuscan roadracing or was in a small town and saw or ran in a race, please let me know. thanks,

The ahotu marathon site lets you search for 10K races: http://marathons.ahotu.com/calendar/10-km/italy Looks like most are in spring or fall, including a 10K in chianti in October. Here's the list including 10K up to half-marathon: http://marathons.ahotu.com/calendar/10-km-to-half/italy Again, the Tuscany races are in October. Probably too hot in summer.
