Riva or Limone?

Hail..we'll be in Malcesine for three nights...one day we'll spend doing the Baldo sky bucket and hiking perhaps. However, our other full day there we'll likely ferry to either Riva or or Limone or both. Any feedback from the forums on this idea? We'll have a car so if there would be something in the area that is a must see that would necessitate such, that's an option as well.

We will be seeing the Dolomites as a detour on our drive to Bolzano so no dolomites tours need apply.

Limone is a very quaint village, but very small. Riva is the largest town on the north lake, but it has a very quaint historical center. If you can visit both, do. You can do so from Malcesine via car or boat.

A nice drive would be the Strada della Forra. But check if it reopened after the landslide not long ago. If still closed (or if you too scared to drive it) I guess at least watch the above video.

You can use the ferry to do both, neither has much more than you can see in a couple of hours. That will be a nice day out.

Do both! We stayed in Lemone a few years ago. It is small and quant but I would say we really really enjoyed our time in Riva and if we go back we will more than likely stay there. Riva is much larger and Lemone is more quant so it depends on what you want. We stayed at hotel La Fiorita and liked it very much.
