We will be visiting San Marino from Bologna next week, taking the train to Rimini and then a bus from Rimini to San Marino. I know Italian public transport goes sometimes, and if things work out, we'll have about 6 minutes to transfer from the train to the bus at Rimini. If the transfer doesn't work out, we'll have plenty of time to buy bus tickets. Does anyone know if we can purchase bus tickets on the bus from Rimini to San Marino?? Thanks.
David - I'm wondering how you ended up traveling from Rimini to San Marino? I will be in Rimini in a little over a week and will need to take a morning bus to San Marino for a soccer match. Will you please share you experience and advise with me?
Thank you,
Janelle
I did that trip a few years ago. It was pretty easy. The TI at the train station directed me to the shop (a tabacchi if I remember correctly) across the street where I bought a ticket. The bus stopped right outside this shop. Hope you have a great trip!
There's a dedicated bus to San Marino that leaves from the bus stops across from the San Marino train station. You can buy bus ticket from the bar by the bus stop. There's a sign outside the bar that says tickets to San Marino. I think it's about a 50 minute ride.
Also, here is link to the winter schedule from September to June. It's the only one I found on the bus website. You should be able to find summer schedule.
