does anybody have advise on transportation between Rimini and San Leo? Travel date is mid June.

Bus 160 or 165 from the station. I think there might be only a run or two a day.
On summer wednesdays Benelli Bus has a round trip run for tourists.
Or you can rent a car and visit San Leo, San Marino and maybe even Gradara castle in one shot. Sometimes by spending more you save time and visit more places and therefore ultimately spend less.

Rome2Rio.com says there is a bus from Rimini to Secchiano then taxi to San Leo. About 1 hour. Driving would be about half an hour.

We did exactly what Roberto has suggested, rented a car and did a lot in a day. Absolutely lovely day!
