This is very exciting news! I have been waiting to hear of Rick’s recent travels and super excited that he’s recently been in Italy. I am so excited to be making my first trip to Europe, Best of Venice, Florence, and Rome next spring.

I think he said they're training new guides in Italy now. Maybe taping, too? That would be an interesting Monday Night Travel episode: "Becoming a Rick Steves Guide."

Looked like he was taping. He was in front of the Baptistery when we first saw him, and then we saw him again after our cathedral tour in front of the Duomo Museum.
