People here are fellow travellers who have, mostly, pretty good experience.

Check out the Guides Marketplace on this website, there might be some listed for Sicily (under Italy). These are RS tour guides who also do private tours when not guiding a RS tour. Also, his guidebooks that include Sicily may include a list of other recommended tour guides that you can hire that are not associated with his company.
