Revised Itinerary- Suggestions Appreciated!

Hi Everyone,

I posted awhile back and got some great suggestions and just wanted to run two options by you wonderful people.

Itinerary Option 1:

Aug 10th: Land in Rome; hop on train and head to Venice
11th-13th: Venice
14th: Mandatory Florence (I have an event there)
15th: Naples (Pompeii)
16th-19th: Rome (then bf goes home and I go to Paris)

OR, option 2:

10th-11th: Rome
12th: Day trip Pompeii
13th: Rome
14th: Florence (mandatory event)
15th: Florence
16th-19th: Venice

Any suggestions?

I would go for option 2 and do Pompeii as a day trip from Rome. This will cut down on the packing and unpacking you have to do.

I agree. Option 1 would be a lot of back and forth.

Option 2. I don't think you want to fly from Toronto to Rome and then take a 4-hour train ride to Venice.
