I'm looking for a discount retail wine store in Rome. Something like the Nicholas chain in Paris would be great. We are staying near Piazza Navona but can travel around town if needed. Thank you.

I've never seen anything like this here in the center. Furthermore, even if you look at the big grocery store chains vs. the smaller shops in the center, I haven't noticed big differences in prices on wine. That said, the main major wine/liquor stores in the center of Rome are: Enoteca Costantini and Bernabei Both of them have an excellent and large collection (esp. Costantini) and regularly have sales; though, apart from special sales prices, I would not characterize them as "discount" stores.
