Osteria di Giovanni is fairly good, but it has no sunset views - I remember the restaurant as being totally indoor.
As for the sunset over Ponte vecchio, I suspect that the only places qualifying would be the few places in Borgo S. Jacopo with windows or balconies overlooking the river. Too technical a question, you would need to survey the places yourself.

We loved Hostaria Il Desco in 2014. In fact we ate there twice. The bistecca ala Fiorentina (sp?) was the best steak I have ever had - and I live in Texas! The complimentary prosecco that they serve when you are seated was so good that I ordered another glass to go with my complimentary dessert! However, there is no view of the Ponte Vecchio.

Check out the restaurant "Golden View." It probably has the best view of the Ponte Vecchio. To get a table next to the window you will need a reservation in advance. I know people that book as far as two to three months in advance. I ate their this last September and was able to get a table next to the window without a reservation, but it was at 6:30 and I had to promise to leave by 8:30. They have a good website if you google it. Our daughter ate there frequently when she did a semister abroad.

Also if you would just like a drink with a view of the sunset, you could try the rooftop terrace at the Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio Hotel. They serve food there as well. We went for wine and plate of salami and cheese at sunset.

There are a couple of places on the Arno right across from the Uffizi:
Ristorante Alfredo Sull'Arno, Via de Bardi, 46-red
and
Golden View Open Bar, Via de Bardi, 58/r

I ate at the last one when under a different name (the restaurant, not me)). In both cases, you can get a table that hangs out over the river bank with full views of the Ponte Vecchio. I thought it was wonderful.
