Greetings fellow Italophils. We will arrive at FCO around 1:25 pm after nearly 24 hours of prep and flying. Although we’ll stay awake to early evening, we would appreciate being directed to restaurants that open early for dinner, close to the Piazza Della Republica/Termini.

Right inside Termini, in the middle of the side that faces southwest, is the Mercato Centrale Roma with many eating options. Open from 7:30am to 11:30pm or midnight.
Or try a deli/sandwich bar place like Fuorinorma, open 10:30am to 10:30pm. I sure do not enjoy going to an actual restaurant for dinner on arrival day.

What's early for you?. In that area lots of restaurants are always open or open very early, especially the Chinese or Indian restaurants of which the area is full.
If you prefer Italian, then check out Nerone, or Trattoria Vecchia Roma. Those are the ones I've been (years ago). I'm pretty sure they open before 7pm.
In that area there is also a pretty highly rated roof top restaurant called La Fata Ignorante ('the ignorant fairy), very upscale seafood restaurant. Haven't tried, but it's pretty highly regarded. It's probably pricier, but check it out.
Another option is the Termini Central Market (Mercato Centrale) inside the station, several low cost eateries there, I'm sure always open in the afternoon till late evening.

The food hall inside the station looked like a decent option to me, and I am no fan of mall food courts. Be aware that it is likely to be quite crowded. I went there in early 2023; with COVID on my mind, I took my food outside to eat.
