Hi,
I am looking for lunch restaurants near Siena, but in the countryside. Not necessarily looking for a wine-tasting/lunch combination, but purely lunch. I saw RS recommended Madonnabella (but there is no detail about food on their website).
Any others?

MadonnaBella is owned by Roberto, who appears in some of the RS videos, and guides day trips for many of the RS tours. The RS guide book lists him as Tours by Roberto . Perhaps check that website.
We did a day of wine tasting with Roberto, which ended with a wonderful meal at his farm.
As a restaurant, I'm assuming the menu is very limited , and probably different each day, as the place is very small.
The food was excellent!
When we were in Florence in 2022, we took a private tour to Siena. On the way back to Florence, our guide took us to Bar dell'Orso for lunch. A small, very local, roadside restaurant, we each had pici and wine. Absolutely delicious! I think this was about a half-hour north of Siena. There's terrace as well as indoor seating. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Buon appetito!
