I’m for some recommended restaurants in Venice. I’ll be there for two days. Anxious to try some of the local cuisine but not with too hefty price tag. Thank you.
I highly recommend Al Chianti. It's the only place where I eat when I'm there. Great staff too!
There's this place on Giudecca "Trattoria Ai Cacciatori" and the food is very good, but I specifically love it on a nice day sitting outside on next to the water looking across to at Venice proper. It's kind of magical.
Just wander around the back streets, away from St. Mark’s and the Grand Canal, and look at the menus. Some will have Venetian cuisine and others may feature food from other regions but all of it will be authentically Italian and tasty! Good luck with the trip!
Between the Rialto Bridge and Piazzale Roma on the same side of the Grand Canal as the fish market, is an out of the way place named Pane Vino e San Daniele on Calle Dei Boteri. Definitely a hole in the wall local place, but it has good food, good house wine, and is not expensive at all.
