My son and DIL are traveling to Rome in July. I'd like to give them a gift card/certificate to a nice restaurant--about $150 (US). Any recommendations?
Gift cards are generally offered by chains.....I'm struggling to think of any in Rome. Of course you could get them a $150 Mastercard or Visa gift card, and they can use it anywhere credit cards are accepted. http://www.mastercard.us/prepaid-gift-card.html
I work for Visa, so of course, that's always an option. The restaurant referral that comes as part of a certificate is what I'm hoping for. Thanks!
Il Drappo is a romantic, beautiful little restaurant with good food, that we very much enjoyed.
Nice thought, but I've never heard of anything like that in Italy. They're much more cash-based than we are in the US. Good luck.
