I love all the restaurant ideas ~ any suggestions for the cities above???
Cinque Terre: more specifically, Vernazza: Il Pirata (might be in Rick's book). Walk up the hill from the train station and it's on the right. Save room for the hot chocolate.
We had a very cheap and yet tasty meal (I think it might be a lunch-only spot) at Nuevo Eden in Monterosso. It is toward the south end of the new side on the beach. I would definitely go back there. We also ate at Cantina di Miki (I think that was the name at least!) and I thought it was also very good, although on the pricey side. I had really wanted to try Belforte in Vernazza but it didn't work out with our schedule.
Ai Quatrro Venti and Borgo Buio in Montepulciano, and most any of the restaurants in Vernazza. Caio, Jeff
