Hello,
I am traveling to Florence with my husband for his birthday - with our son and his girlfriend.
My husband loves to cook and we all enjoy meals. We've been to Italy before but this is our first time traveling to Florence. I would love suggestions for a celebratory dinner. Thank you for any recommendations!
Andrea
Ristorante Pensavo Peggio - out of the way with great food. I consider this a "locals" restaurant.

Osteria Nuvoli - not for your celebratory dinner, but for a very unique light dining experience. A very rural & traditional menu. Basement seating. A pretty cool little spot.

Have a great trip!
Thank you!!

Yes, I recommend that one too.
Check out Giglio Rosso located at 35 via Panzani for a regular, but very, very good evening meal. Their web site is https://www.ristorantegigliorosso.com/en/about/.
A big step up (and one for a celebratory dinner) will be Olio & Convivium Gastronomia Restaurant. It's on the Pitti Palace side of the river on Via di Santo Spirito. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and good wine. A bit pricy (but well worth it), so you might want to try it for lunch rather than dinner when reservations are usually needed. The web site is (or was) https://oliorestaurant.it/.
You should be able to check the menus for pricing and such on line.
