Hello, I have the Italy 2015 book and I just wanted to suggest a few updates.
Tratoria La Burrasca (in Florence) - This place is fantastic and is already in the book. The only update I'd make is now they are only taking reservations. We had lucked out and gone at 7pm when they first opened and the owner told us they now only take reservations, but there was 1 table (for two) that could still be used. We ended up dining there and we saw many others being turned away at the door. Since this restaurant is such a gem, I'd like to still see in on there, but let the readers know that they must make a reservation (or ask their hotel to do so)
We are now in Cinque Terre (Monterosso) and found this gem - Gastronomia San Martino. This is place is utterly awesome and has great food (see reviews on tripadvisor and yelp). They are a family run (husband and wife) team which makes fresh pasta dishes. We got there at 7pm (when they open) and there was already a line. This is not a fancy place, but very casual and they don't serve you. You order your food and when it is ready, they call you and you get it and can sit on their out door dining area or on the indoor 4 small table they have. You can an also get things to go and take it down to the beach. Everything is served with plastic forks and knives. The cups for the local bottle of wine we got were also plastic. For stuffed muscles, seafood pasta, ravioli, and a bottle of local wine, we only paid 32 euro! Many of the people there in line ahead of us dined there a few nights ago as well. This place is spectacular and we plan to go back once more before we leave. Please consider adding this and sharing it with others as well. It will probably be the best pasta you eat in italy!
