We arrive late in the afternoon on a Sunday and am looking for a light meal with a glass of wine within walking distance to this hotel/area? Something simple, easy with great food.

In front of your hotel there is a restaurant called “MadoniEAT” which is highly rated on “The Fork” (TripAdvisor) and is open until 10:30pm on Sundays. Looks very unpretentious and average price is less than 25-30€ for dinner.

But there will be plenty of other choices within walking distance. Just use the Fork or TripAdvisor or also GoogleMaps. That is what I do. If a restaurant is well rated in all those platforms (and also on Yelp, although Yelp is not used by Italians as much, so you see only tourists’ ratings), then it must be decent.

Roberto, thank you, just looked at the menu, looks perfect, but looked to see if I should make reservations and our date is 6 weeks away and nothing available after 3:30. Making me a bit nervous about, do I need to be making reservations this far in advance for mid September for the rest of our stay?

I usually make the reservations on the same day, just a few hours before dinner. Sometimes even just minutes before. If it's just me and my wife, we often show up without. In most cases they can accommodate us at nearly all restaurants, maybe after a wait. If they can't I just go to another restaurant. In that area there are lots of restaurants within 5-10 min walk.
Italians like to go out a lot on Saturday nights and Sundays at lunch (not dinner), so those are days where maybe you should call a day ahead.
