Restaurant recommendations in venice

Looking for restaurant recommendations in Venice. Prefer if it’s really good food and not touristy. I don’t know if that possible in Venice. Maybe something that is more authentic? Thank you!

According to Rick, there is no more non-touristy restaurant in Venice. If you do a search in this forum, you'll find plenty of results.

Just came back from Italy visiting Rome, Florence and Venice. The food in Venice was by far the most interesting and authentic. Far better than food in Florence for example.
My advice for Venice is to get away from the tourist crowds, for example go farther into Dorsudoro area, where you’ll find plenty of local restaurants with actual local italian diners.
Secondly don’t focus just on pasta/ pizza, those are mainly for tourists. Venice had amazing seafood, try that instead.
A couple of places that were great for us:
- Codroma (seafood)
- Osteria Ca’ Del Vento (seafood)
- La Bifora (cichetti)

Hope this helps

Two favourites for us.
La Bitta in Dorsoduro.
Ai Mercanti in San Marco

In the Rialto Bridge area consider Trattoria Da Marco Valla Fava on Calle Stagneri. It is definitely pricy so you might want to do lunch there rather than dinner. Some of the best sea food ever!! Try to eat inside rather than outside. The place has been around at least 50 years so they must be doing it right. Also in the Rialto area (on the other side of the Grand Canal) when walking to Piazzale Roma is an out of the way place named Pane Vino e San Daniele on Calle Dei Boteri. Definitely a local place, good food, good house wine, and not expensive at all.
