My wife and I are travelling to Rome in early October. We are staying at the Morgana hotel near termini station. Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations near that location?

I am sure exactly where the Morgana Hotel but there are a number of decent restaurants in the area. Target we like very much on Via Torino just west of the main drag Nazionala. As you face the Opera House in the middle of the block north of the Opera House is a very nice, bit upscale restaurants. And Giovanni, kind of local hole in the basement wall just off Depretis. And there are a bunch more that look good.

We just got back from Rome and stayed around Termini station at the Hotel Italia Roma. There are number of restaurants near that area that are good. I would suggest reading Katie Parla's blog on restaurants in the Monti area, which is near Termini. She's a food critic who lives in Rome and a foodie.

This may not be what you are after but for a quick bite, the best pizza by the slice is Pizzeria del secolo on the other side of Termini (toward Castro metro). However, given your hotel's location, I'd walk toward Republica or Cavour metro stops for food.
