Restaurant recommendations in Lake Maggiore?

Hi
We are looking for any lunch or dinner reservations in Lake Maggiore. We have two kids so casual and Italian and not too pricey is best. Prefer places that don't requite reservations tho one dinner with a reservation would be fine (Will be there first week in July so assume it will be busy).

We are probably staying in Cannero Rivera so looking for dinner recommendations in town, as well as lunch or dinner recommendations in Stresa and the islands. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you don't need reservations. I've been in Stresa in July many times and I never reserved anything. Cannero is even less known.
Check TripAdvisor for restaurants or also ask locally when you are there.
I'm sure you can get better recommendations from a local in town or even TripAdvisor (which Italians use a lot), than from the handful of readers here who might have eaten at a restaurant in Cannero.
There are a bunch of good restaurants in Stresa and also a lot on the Isola dei Pescatori. I can't even remember many of the names, I just ask the locals where I can "mangiare bene e spendere poco" (eat well and spend little) and I was never disappointed. Never had a reservation at any restaurant on Lake Maggiore, ever. And if you go before the Italians show up for dinner (after 8:30pm) the restaurants will be empty.

I like Verbano on Isola Superiore Dei Pescatoi. I have never made reservations and had no issues finding tables in Stresa, Baveno, or Cannobio.

I very rarely ever make reservations and so far haven't had any problems with that approach. You might ask the staff at your hotel to recommend a good place. That's a method I use often and the hotel staff have always given good advice.
