We will be driving from Montepulciano to Florence through the Chianti region (SR222). Any recommendations on places to stop along the way to see and a place for lunch? Just have the one day. Thanks!

We love Ristorante di Lamole in the tiny village of Lamole near Greve in Chianti. We have eaten there several times. We are never disappointed.

Our very favorite restaurant in the area is La Castellana in Montefioralle…just above Greve. There is usually parking available across the street so you can keep an eye on your car…especially if you go in mild weather and can sit on their outside patio with lovely views over the Tuscan countryside.
