Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Rome that would would be good for a 50th birthday dinner? We will be in Rome on vacation and would like to dine somewhere special.

Try Il Gabriello near the Spanish Steps. My son & I were there in March 2006 & it was one of the best meals we had in Europe.
