Restaurant in Florence in May

About 13 years ago I visited Florence and there was a restaurant Rick Steves recommended that did not have a menu - they just brought you out delicious food. We cannot remember the name of it - if it's still there even - and we are visiting Florence again in May and wondered if anyone knew if it was still there. Or if you can recommend somewhere similar to that? Thanks so much!

I used an app called EatItaly. Its written by a woman who lives in Rome but travels around Italy and details places to eat. On it we found a lovely Osteria in Florence whose name I can't remember. When you pull up the app, it provides a map of the city with different colored balloons for different things (gelato, restaurant, etc), so you can click on balloons closer to where you want to go, and then it gives you a price rating $, $$, etc, and a description of the food and restaurant. Here's a google search description but you can also just pull it up in apps
And I got the suggestion for the app from RS (his book maybe?)

Sorry but I cannot comment on that restaurant that RS recommended but definitely do not miss Trattoria Il Sostanza. It is tiny and has been run by the same family for many years. It is located between Santa Maria station and the Arno. The butter chicken is fabulous as are the side dishes and desserts. There are two seatings at night and reservation is a must. We liked it better than Cibreo.

You might be thinking of Antica Trattoria da Tito, which has long been one of Rick's recommended Florence restaurants and was still operting when I walked past it a few months ago. The 2017 guidebook says they offer "fermami," where they bring you food of their choice until you say "Stop." I recall it being featured in one of Rick's travel shows.
