We have a group of four arriving in Rome the morning of December 31. We have tried several restaurants for New Year’s Eve dinner. All are booked. Can you recommend where to go or if there is a booking site? Also, what is New Year’s Day like in Rome? Are markets open? Are any of the tourist sites?

We’ll be in Rome that week as well - staying just south of Piazza Navona. Any suggestions for things that are open on New Year’s Day? Also, does Rome have a big New Year’s Eve thing similar to Times Square in New York? My family will be split over whether that’s something to embrace or to avoid!
