Restaurant and Winery Recommendations Val d'Orcia and Siena

Hello.
Can anyone recommend delicious and memorable food options and can't miss wineries for my stay in Pienza area and/or Siena? Thanks so much!

While staying in Siena, we loved our meals at the following restaurants:

Trattoria Nona Gina
Vivace Restaurant - we dined in their gorgeous courtyard with stunning views of the countryside.
Quatro Venti

Unfortunately, I can't recommend any wineries in this area. We were unable to have a wine tasting and tour because we didn't make advance reservations. So be sure to make reservations when you find a winery you like.

We stayed at an agriturismo near Pienza two years ango and discovered the tiny La Vecchia Bottega for an amazing antipasto lunch…Tagliarone on the menu. We loved it so much that we made sure we returned with friends last September. We’re returning in June and looking forward to another lunch or dinner! We also enjoyed Trattoria Latte di Luna. While we haven’t dined there yet, we’re planning to try Idyllium this year. It’s along the medieval wall with a beautiful view of the Val d’Orcia and should be perfect at sunset.

As far as wineries, we have enjoyed Santa Giulia near Montalcino for (Brunello) and Contucci in Montepulciano for Vino Nobile…both require reservations.

Have a lovely trip!

If staying around Pienza you will have several short-drive places you can visit. Montepulciano, San Quirico d'Orcia and Montalcino are all within a half hour or less drive away. We're staying in Montalcino for a month shortly, our 6th time there. That's a promising area for touring various wineries ... and famous for their Brunello wine!
