Response from Vatican Museum - how long does it take?

We faxed the Vatican Museum requesting reservations for a tour in English during our visit the first week in June. We included three time/date options in order of preference and included the names and ages of our party (6 people).

That was five days ago and we have not had any response. Should I be worried? Resend the fax? Be more patient?

Thanks.

I disagree. Read the several other threads about Vatican Museum. All indications are they are overwhelmed and have not the resources to attend to numerous small requests. I have not heard back and it has been 3 weeks. Our travel partners bought a 'tour' to get a 'reservation' but I am skeptical they will have to stand in line like all others. I will post to this site next Friday after their attempted visit.

We emailed our request and received a response about 8 weeks later...however we are requesting entry to the Necropolis so although they have confirmed our request..we still have not confirmation or ticket...good luck.

The Vatican only sends a response if your request has been accepted. The confirmation is usually sent just a few days before so I hope you included a fax number to your hotel Rome.

Response received today from the real Vatican Museums [not third party] to the request sent about April 17. The response was for the requested day and time.
