Reserved seats on Flixbus - good idea/necessary?

Hello,
I was going to book a Flixbus for some travel in Italy, but when I started the process it gave me an option to reserve seats.
Is this usually necessary or a good idea?

My prior experience with buses is where it's just "take whatever is available".

Thanks in advance!

I paid a bit extra to book the very front seats for their panoramic sightseeing view, which was worth it for my route.

By the way, if things haven't changed in the several years since I took a Flixbus, it's cheaper to book a seat in currencies other than the US dollar. Checking a bag in the bus under-storage was also cheaper in non USD.

And as written here many times, it will always cost less to do your transactions in local currency and have the bank process it rather than having the merchant dictate the exchange rate to use dollars

Thanks for the tips - I didn't know to look for the Panorama! Was able to get that for one trip, at least.

Panorama would be the first pair of seats on the right as younger. Not behind the driver. Done it a couple times, they do cost a couple euro more, but worth it for a ride of 2 to whatever hours.
