reservations on-line

We have our Italy rail passes and have finalized travel dates between cities, some of which require reservations. Can these be made on-line and will the necessary documentation be emailed back to us to print out and take with us. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of time before we leave, but would like to get the reservations taken care of now rather than wait until arriving in Italy.

Unfortunately, a rail pass usually never saves you money in Italy. I believe you can make the reservation on the trenitalia site online and they will give email you a PNR number that you show on the train. You'll still need to pay the reservation fee for each leg of your trip but you can do that online as well. Personally, if you can get a refund for your rail passes I would do that and buy point to point tickets from the trenitalia site. This will save you time and money. Donna

Agree with Donna. I am currently doing the research and planning a trip next April for the following cities in Italy and compared the Point-To-Point tickets to the Rail Pass and found I would not save money with a Rail Pass that would include Italy. Long sentance lol.
