We are planning to stay in Siena in late November 07. Do you think we need to reserve a room in advance for our three days there at that time?

Perhaps I should add that we would want to use one of RS recommendations on the low end rather than just any hotel.

You don't mention how many there are of you but assuming you only need a Double, you should be fine waiting till you get there. On the other hand, if you want to be sure to get the hotel of your choice due to atmosphere and price, why not reserve early?
