We will be in Florence for one day on our cruise. I would like to make reservation for the museum but I don't know for what time because I have no idea how long is the travel time from the ship to the museum. Could anyone shed some light on what the procedure of getting off the ship is like? This way I can figure out how much time we should give ourselves to get to our reservation on time. Do they give you a window or do they set a specific time for the reservations. Any help will be greatly appreciate it.
The reservation is for a specific time. Where are you docking? Docking times? Because you need to take transportation from there to Florence and back.
Does the cruise offer a shore excursion to the museums? That might be much easier than having to spend time figuring out the transportation and location of the museums. Plus, the ship won't leave without you if you are on one of their excursions.
Of course the cruise ship offers a trip to Florence. That is why they are stopping there. But you pay a huge price for all of the convenience of the ship's bus. A second option would be to arrange you own private tour and find a few people to share it with. Sign on to your ship and date at cruisecritic.com and you will find others setting up shore excursions that are better and cheaper. And you can do it on your own with no problems.
Thank You All!!
