My husband and I will be in Milan in October. According to Rick Steve's reservations are mandatory several months in advance for seeing The Last Supper. We attempted to order tickets online several weeks ago ,but all the tickets were already booked. We found out that if you book a tour along with this, there are tickets available for 50-60 euro. Do the tour companies buy up all the tickets? Has anyone had experience in obtaining these tickets in advance?
What are your dates? I see many October dates available on the official site
The date is Oct 14. When I check on 11:00 it says not currently available.
That is strange. I would call them ASAP - I have read where others were successful in getting tickets by calling when the website was acting up or having no availability

I've been waiting (not so patiently) for them to post a schedule for November. I'm wondering if I call now if I would be able to get a ticket for then even if the dates aren't posted online. I certainly cant afford 50-60 euros! That is my sight seeing budget for 2-3 days.
No, you can not call earlier than the date they are posted online. However, You may find that if you call there are tickets available for the days and times that the web site says are fully booked. I know this from personal experience.
