I will be traveling with four family members in Italy during the last half of September. We have made online reservations for the Vatican Museums on Sept. 16th at 2pm and on Sept. 27th the Florence Museums Uffizi at 8:15am and Accademia at 4pm. Understand we cannot enter the museums earlier than our reservation time, but can we enter any of the museums later than our reservation time, say up to an hour late? Thanks.
We were in Rome last week and entered the vatican museums 30+minutes before our reservation. We were done with lunch and figured we would just try. I have no idea about later.

I would say not. If you are late for your reservation time they are under no obligation to admit you, nor is it fair to others with reservations who DID show up on time. The whole reason for timed-entry tickets is for crowd control. In the case of the Uffizi, this website ( http://www.uffizi.org ) states :
"Can I visit the museum at a different hour or on a different day than the one written on my voucher?
The simple answer is NO, you cannot. The museum handles visitor flows by selling a specific number of tickets for each date and time. So you can only visit the museum on the date and time written on your voucher."
I would suggest that you be on time or be willing to forfeit your timed-entry privileges.
Actually, for the Vatican museums you can enter later with the same ticket but you lose the right to skip the lines. Your entry ticket is still valid but if you're more than 10-15 minutes late they can and do make people go to the end of the ticket lines.
