It is possible to book visit times for St. Marks Church 30 days in advance. Go to www.alata.it.
It is not necessasry to book a reservation, check Rick's book on Venice: if you arrive and check in the backpack or other bag you automatically skip the line. Also- the entrance to the St. Marks is free, but you may need to pay to go to lodgia, museum and altar, they accept payments on site. Just make sure that you are there at least 1 hour before closing.
Booking on alata.it is free. What would you do if you did not have a backback to check?
we just returned and it took only about 15 min to get in so it wasn't bad just adoring the view while we waited jo
The reservation is free. Why not do it? We have our reservations for this July.
