Reservations for Brancacci Chapel, Florence??

My friend and I are going to be in Florence for only 2 days in May and the Brancacci Chapel in Santa Maria del Carmine. I am an art history major and seeing Massacio's the Tribute Money cannot be missed. I don't want to spend 2 hours waiting for an opening at the church because I have so many other things to see, but I can't seem to find out if I need to make reservations ahead of time without paying 30 euros for a 5 euro ticket. I'm pretty web saavy and I can't figure it out.

Does anyone know a way to make inexpensive reservations?? Or, will this not be necessary at all??

Janine: For you, a fan of Masaccio, here's the way to make the inexpensive reservation for the Brancacci Chapel frescoes: First, reservations are mandatory to get your 15-minute visiting slot, you can't get in without them. You can get them, for free, if you call the chapel directly, dial 011 39 055 276 8224, it's often busy but be persistent, best time to call is 2 to 3 pm Italy time, which unfortunately is 5 to 6am your time. They will speak English with you. But if all else fails, contact the middle men and pay the extra (it's worth it!).

Janine, following up on above post: As an art student you well know the reservation hassle is worth it, and that you're in for a feast of Masaccios (and Masolino and Lippi) when you get inside. Geniuses walked the streets of Florence back then, men who were painting in a way that no one before them had ever done. I forget exactly how many Masaccios there are (7 to 10?). He only lived to 28 but what a life. As you enter the chapel the first work you see at the top left (I think to the immediate left of Tribute) is Expulsion from Paradise--that he could paint that way back in 1425 when no one had done that before! With 21st century eyes we take the depiction of despair on Eve's face for granted, but one of the things I've learned in Europe is the true meaning of genius: to have done something no one before ever did, to have that inspiration. And then looking to the right of Expulsion is your favorite, Payment of the Tribute Money. It's worth the phone call at 6am or midnight your time, or going the middle man route, either way!
