Rescheduling scavi tour

Hi,

We are visiting Rome in May and we had booked our scavi tour tickets last month by emailing their office. Our plans changed later and now as it turns out we won't be in Rome that day. We totally forgot about this tour while changing our itinerary. Now I am wondering if we will be able to reschedule our tour since we don't want to miss this opportunity. We emailed them twice about it but haven't heard back. I will call them in a few days if we don't get a reply on emails till then.

Has anyone here successfully rescheduled their scavi tour tickets in the past?

Speaking from experience...it's extremely difficult to communicate special requests (like rescheduling). It's a good tour AND you'll get to go inside St Peter's Basilica without standing in the horrendously long line in the square.

Are there any instructions in the confirming email you received? (It's been years since we did this so I have no idea.)

Off the cuff, I'd say write twice: First, request a new date with no mention of the old reservation. Once you have the new date, write to cancel the old one.

Thanks for your help! An update for anyone interested in this thread - they did respond to a simple email request and rescheduled our tour to one of our preferred dates.
