Requesting revised itinerary review

Please review my revised three-day itinerary (I am finally learning how to spell this word!) for travel after our RS tour: Day 1 1) Take early express train from Termini in Rome to Naples, then Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. Check luggage at Pompeii. Hire one of the tour guides outside the gate. Tour Pompeii with guide, then afterwards, do some touring of Pompeii on our own. 2)After Pompeii, travel to Sorrento. Check into our hotel. If there is time, walk around Sorrento. Day 2 2) Take early morning SITA bus from Sorrento to Positano, look around. 3) Take a bus from Positano to Amalfi, look around. 4)Take bus from Amalfi back to Positano, then catch a fast ferry or jet boat back to Sorrento. 5) Time permitting, look around Sorrento. QUESTION: Will we have time for Paestum?? Day 3 1) Check out of hotel in Sorrento 2)Take jet boat to Capri QUESTION: Is there a place to check our luggage in Capri? 3) Take chair lift to Mount Solero 4) Tour Sans Michel Church with the pretty tiles (majolica?). 5) Take hour boat tour of island, including tour of Blue Grotto. 6) Take fast ferry to Naples. 7) Look around Chaia district and eat dinner. 8) Relax and get ready for early morning flight back to U.S. OR -- ALTERNATE DAY 3 PLAN: 1) Check out of hotel in Sorrento. 2) Take all-day boat tour of Capri -- spending a few hours as part of the tour in Capri/AnaCapri. Take chairlift and tour Sans Michaels. 3) Tour would drop us off in Sorrento. Take fast ferry to Naples. 4) Walk around Chaia district in Naples; eat dinner 5) Relax and get ready for early morning flight back to U.S. Note: I want to make sure I have enough time to see the sights of Sorrento. Thanks very much, Ruth

It's a really quick trip Ruth. Any way I would stick to the plan, it's already so much to see in it. Just try to relax on the Amalfi coast and take a whole tour of Capri, I'm sure it's worth it. Even if you don't make it to the church, i would love to take a boat tour around the island. Should live you speechless the beauty of the sea and the island.

Hi Ruth, I have looked carefully into the Paestum question for our trip, and I don't think you can possibly fit it into your time frame. Viamichelin gives the driving time as over 2 hours from Sorrento. To go by train, you have to take a bus from Sorrento to Naples. The amount of travel time is surprising for what is not a lot of distance.
