Requesting help in understanding difference in Roman Colosseum tickets

Hello Fellow Travelers -

I've been searching for tickets via the following website: https://ticketing.colosseo.it/en/categorie/singoli-1-8-persone/

What we'd like to do is purchase tickets that will allow us to enter the Colosseum and explore the Arena with additional access to the Roman Forum - Palatine Archaeological area and Imperial Fora.

Wondering (hoping) that someone can help us understand the difference between these two tickets offerings:

Includes:

"Admission to the Colosseum at the booked time
Entry to the Colosseum Arena
Admission to the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area and Imperial Fora
Entry to SUPER sites
Entry to any exhibitions in progress at the Colosseum and in the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area"

"One admission to the Arena floor only at the booked time
One admission to the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area and Imperial Fora
Entry to SUPER sites
Entry to any exhibitions that may be in progress in the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area"

What part of the Colosseum (other than "underground" and "attic") would you miss out on if you bought a ticket that allowed you entry to the "arena floor only".

Thanks!

Ps... I've looked throughout the RS Travel Forum for this answer and it escapes me. Might be that it's staring me in the face. Ha.

Look for posts by Kathy, she has very detailed explanations of the various ticket options

The Arena Floor is just that - they have rebuilt a portion of the floor of the Colosseum. So the views are looking up into the stands, as if you were a participant in the action. But the views are a bit limited, as only part of the floor has been covered.

The "standard" ticket [excepting underground and attic] allows you to explore the first two levels above the arena - so you are able to get perspectives from various positions around the structure. You should also be able to visit the museum area on the second level [under the stands], which we found to be rather interesting.

So your first option above will allow you to see much more than the Arena only. Access to the Forum etc. looks to be the same for both.
