We will be in Salerno on Republic Day (Sunday, June2) which I understand is a national holiday. I am wondering what, if any, impact that will have on traffic and ferry schedules. My plan is to take the ferry from Salerno to Amalfi and back. I know the festivities are mostly in Rome. The hotel prices in Amalfi do not seem to be any higher that weekend than others and the ferry schedule will not be published until April. When holidays in Italy fall on a Sunday do people have off on the Monday following? Thanks for any opinions and experiences.
