I will be in Naples for Republic day next year - Will everything be shut? access to Pompeii? Museum? Restuarants? How about public transport?

Very little will be closed.
Pompei is always open, except for Jan 1, May 1, Dec 25.
The National Archeological Museum closes on the same 3 holidays above, plus on Tuesdays every week.
Restaurants are open. Public Transportation will work.

@Quirite: boo-hoo, I love the fireworks. My father used to make them.
